Salon.25 Holds a Cut-A-Thon to Benefit the Victims of the Haiti Earthquake on Valentine’s Day

Vanessa Adarna, owner of Salon.25of Cypress, CA, and its team of stylists will be holding a Cut-A-Thon to help raise money for the victims of the Haiti Earthquake. The “Giving Love To Haiti,” Cut-A-Thon will be held on Valentine’s Day Sunday, February 14th from 10AM-3PM. All proceeds of this event will benefit the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund and the Azusa Pacific University’s Focus International Mission Trip to Haiti. Haircuts will be $10 and clients are welcome to donate more. The salon will also be selling Starbucks coffee and pastries. A representative from Active will also be doing giveaways.

On January 12, 2010, a catastrophic 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit the small nation of Haiti, affecting an estimated three million people. More than 230,000 have been identified as dead and an estimated 300,000 injured. Much of the country’s infrastructure and residences had collapsed or were completely destroyed. With so much devastation and chaos in Haiti, international aid had come in and began the slow process of rebuilding the lives of the people in Haiti. Much of the international community has donated millions of dollars to fund much of the relief aid that is still going on, but more is still needed for the long-term stability of the country.

Salon.25 only carries John Paul Mitchell Systems products (except for products not manufactured by us such as nail care, makeup, etc.). Vanessa Adarna, a Paul Mitchell National Educator and stylist of 10 years, is the sole proprietor of this cozy salon and has a team of 5 stylists who all have graduated from a Paul Mitchell School.
